SWEP Worldwide
SWEP is 100% wholly Australian owned and operated. We are totally independent of all fertiliser and agricultural input companies, so we never recommend or promote products and our aim is only to improve sustainability and profitability for Farmers. There is more information on the page About Us.
Well known in Australia, SWEP soil tests are also recognised by farmers in more than 26 countries around the World and we maintain registered quarantine facilities on-site, to ensure we can maintain rapid turnaround. In Australia, most of our customers will receive their test report within 5 days of putting it in the mail, but due to the more variable times that samples spend in the mail when coming from outside Australia, we can only promise our overseas customers the fastest turnaround time possible.
Turnaround time aside, many people find the prospect of sending samples overseas a little off-putting. So here are some detailed instructions and tips to help make the whole process easy and straightforward.
When you are ready, simply go to our Online Ordering page, select and pay for the tests and options you want. You will receive email notification of payment from PayPal, simply print a copy of this email and enclose it with the sample.
Sending Samples from Outside Australia:
Important: Please read these instructions carefully...
Do not carry samples into Australia yourself,
they MUST be sent by Mail
If you are sending samples from outside Australia, you need to be aware of Australian Quarantine requirements and charges that may apply - especially for samples sent via Courier services such as DHL or UPS, etc. Any unpaid freight, transport, excess postage or quarantine charges we receive will be charged back to you. Following these instructions will prevent any of these unwanted charges being incurred.
Very Important: The best method of sending us samples is to use the International Air Mail - Express Mail Service (EMS). This has a number of advantages over other methods:
- Reliable delivery from over 200 countries
- Allows for tracking of items in the event of delays or other difficulties.
- Less expensive option than most courier services
- No hidden fees or charges
- No special quarantine requirements
Important Note: Please ensure there or no insects or earthworms, etc. in the sample as AQIS will fumigate and charge $50 AUD for such 'contaminated' samples!!!
You should include a sample information form in the package with your samples, please download and print the relevant form for either the Soil sample details, Plant sample details, or Water sample details, to send with your samples.
We accept payment in Australian Dollars, either Online via PayPal or you can include your Credit Card details on the relevant sample details form - Do Not send Cash in the Mail!

Agents & Distributors Outside Australia
In Australia, our agent network is made up of agronomists, consultants and farm advisers. They either operate their own business or work for a rural store or fertiliser supplier, etc. They are not restricted to any specific region or territory, nor do they need to support any products, philosophies, methods of production or crop specialities. In other countries, we also see the same pattern, so if you fit this description, you may be eligible to apply for an agency with us.
- Other criteria that apply to becoming an agent include:
- Have substantial knowledge of agriculture
- View soil is a living system and the basis for sustainable productivity
- Have a keen interest to learn more about the Mikhail System and
- Be prepared to follow SWEP recommendations.
- Be likely to submit at least of 50 samples per year
If you feel you meet the above requirements please Contact Us. You will be sent an information package, a copy of our Terms and Conditions and an application form to fill in with your details and three commercial references.
The main difference between Australian and Overseas agents is in the remuneration arrangements. Details are included in the information package mentioned above.
In addition to agents, SWEP is interested in appointing regional distributors. These are people who will be responsible for helping us find and support agents within a defined geographic region. Distributorships will be allocated on a case by case basis, so Contact Us if you are interested and would like to discuss things further.
